We want to grow as followers of Jesus. And because we want to grow as followers of Jesus, discipleship is important to us. We have modeled the way that we do discipleship off of Acts 2:42
“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”
And we have built that model around the church year:
The rhythms of our discipleship follow the rhythms of the church year. In Advent and Lent our discipleship is focused on prayer and spiritual disciplines. In Ordinary Time (especially September and May) our discipleship is focused more specifically on teaching, with various courses being offered to the people of Emmaus. And our life of discipleship is always being built around fellowship (enjoying the gift of one another) and the breaking of bread (enjoying the gift of God).
