"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of glorious inheritance in his holy people..." Ephesians 1:18-19
This retreat is an invitation to discover and practice a simple contemplative prayer, based on the book "Simply Open" by Greg Paul.
Being totally open to God in prayer is an important key for deepening our spiritual journey. We can ask God to open up our senses, heart and mind in order to increase our awareness of his presence in our everyday life and of his work in the world.
As we prepare for Lent, may our prayers be transformative. -- Luce Amyot
In collaboration with the Isaiah 40 Foundation, Emmaus Anglican Church will be hosting a screening of the documentary Over 18, which offers a, "clear-eyed examination of modern pornography and its effects on kids, teens, [and] parents." The goal of the documentary is: "To educate parents about what their kids are being exposed to online and encourage them to talk with them about it."
Space is limited, so we are asking people to register online here. If we reach max capacity by Monday, Jan. 22, we will schedule another screening sometime after the 30th.
